My Exciting News

September 13, 2012

Hi all!  I am sorry  that this post isn’t more exciting…pictures, smileys, etc.  My computer is not happy with me and I am having issues both with WordPress and Windows Live Writer.  After one email from my host, the problem is still not resolved.  Once it is, I promise I will post a delicious recipe for grilled vegetable tacos.  Don’t you just love technology???

But, I didn’t want to leave you hanging on my exciting news.  As many of you were wondering, I am not engaged..yet.  I got a new job!!   I will be a Health Educator for a hotel on the strip!  I am still learning my roles, but I will providing health and wellness to the employees.  It is such a neat job opportunity for a dietitian and I couldn’t be more excited!

I started this week and have been busy with orientation.  It is a big change so I may not be around as much, but I promise I will try!  Blogging has been such a big part of my life and want to keep up with it as much as I can.  And I just love ya guys!

I am looking forward to the weekend and getting in a bit of relaxing.  Fingers crossed that I will be up and blogging soon.  Thanks for reading my slightly less exciting post with very exciting news.

So please make me feel a bit better and tell me what blog/computer issues you have had in the past?

*******Blog Update (9/16)***********

Unfortunately, my blog is still giving me grief.  But I have two posts waiting in the wings for ya once it’s up and running.  I hope I am back soon!

Enjoy your week!!

How exciting! That sounds like a fun and perfect job for a dietitian. Hope you settle into it quickly.

We’ve had a couple hard drives crashes, and computer die, but nothing too monumental when it comes directly to blogging.

I just posted “assing” instead of “assessing” in a class discussion…more human error, but definitely got a good laugh after I realized what I did.

Congrats on your new job! I am so happy for you…although I did think you were going to announce you were engaged :)

YAY! Congrats! Sounds like a super fun job!!

My blog was down for 3 days just recently, and I didn’t even know it until my mother asked what the heck was up – apparently I let my domain registration lapse, but I couldn’t figure it out for over a day. SO frustrating!

Congratulations-Sounds like a really fun job! My biggest computer frustration has been e-mail problems. My paswords will randomly be rejected so I can’t sent or receive e-mails at times, then it will start working again. So annoying! My other problem was not being able to sync my e-mail accounts with my i pad and i phone so I was re-reading the same e-mails over and over-not very efficient! I finally had someone out to help me with my issues-not cheap, but so worth every penny! Good luck :-)

Congratulations, Kristen!! This is such exciting news! You will make a fantastic health educator, and working on the strip sounds like fun. ;) I’m actually hoping to work in the same field once I’m finished with grad school!

Oh gosh, computer issues. So SO stressful! This week I had to take my laptop in to have the trackpad replaced. I went two days without a computer, which completely stressed me out because I couldn’t access the online information I needed for my classes! It’s amazing how reliant we’ve become on technology I hope you were able to resolve the problems with yours!

Again, CONGRATS!!!

This is so exciting!!! After awhile, it’s nice to step away from patient care/clinical and do something like health education with the public/employees. What a wonderful opportunity!! I can’t wait to hear more about it. Congrats, Kristen!!!
