Hello! I made it! Another successful wedding down. If you are keeping count, 2 down..one more to go next month.
Since there was so much fabulous wedding fun to share, I figured I’d break it into two posts for ya’.
My friend wanted to start off the festivities by treating the bridesmaids to tea at the Verandah at Four Seasons.
I felt really fancy schmancy. I don’t think they should let spill prone people like me into places like this. And also because talking about tea, scones, and devonshire cream makes me want to start speaking in a british accent. No, I’m not embarrassing to be around. ![]()
The table was set just beautifully!
Whitney’s mom bought these cute bride decorations as well. Such a fun touch!
They offered a wide variety of teas to choose from. I went with the Mountain Berry Tisane.
I really loved this flavor of tea. It reminded me of my favorite Coffee Bean &Tea Leaf tea I love..blueberry pomegranate.
A cube of sugar to sweeten things up a bit.
After pouring our tea, they brought out a wide selection of sandwiches and desserts.
Oh my goodness, everything was just delicious!
Look…
at this…
assortment.
Scones..yes please!!!
They also had three different spreads. Devonshire cream, strawberry preserve, and lemon curd. We joked that all we needed was a spoon to eat these, they were that good.
Egg and Dill Salad on Tomato Brioche and Cucumber and Green Tapenade on Sourdough Bread.
Chicken Apple Salad on Savory Cone and House Smoked Salmon, Scallion Caper Cream Cheese on Pumpernickel. I especially loved the way they served the chicken salad..what a fun idea!!

Milk Chocolate and Candied Mandarin Velvet Cake and Fresh Strawberry and Sicilian Pistachio Tart and "No Bake" Vanilla Bean Cheesecake and Almond and Pear Tart.
The bride to be, Whitney, and us lovely bridesmaids.
After tea, she gave us each a bridesmaid gift. A teapot, mug, and tea. I can’t wait to use them! It was a sweet and unexpected surprise.
Fast forward to the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner on Friday night. The bride and groom to be were all smiles! No stress for them.
After the rehearsal, we met for dinner at Brio. I’ve eaten here a few times and this place never disappoints.
Since there names are Adam and Whitney, they used their first initials to play off the A & W theme.
A recipe book was given as a favor to the guests. The wedding party each contributed a favorite recipe. What did I contribute one might ask!?! Barb’s salsa… oh yeahhh. Although it’s not mine, it’s a favorite by everyone that tries it.
The menu looked excellent! We couldn’t wait for dinner.
I ordered a glass of Riesling to start off my night. Chilled and slightly sweet.
Our hunger got the best of us and this was what was left of the bread basket by the time I got a picture. We must’ve been working up an appetite with all the bridal festivities. ![]()
The meal started off with a classic Caesar salad. I don’t order Caesar’s salad often, so it was a very nice treat.
For my entrée, I decided on the chicken “under the brick.”
Grilled chicken breast served with mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables topped with mushroom marsala sauce.
This dish was amazing. I loved the flavor of the sauce. It really complemented the chicken well.
Of course, there was cake. It was a swirl flavor with buttercream frosting. I just love buttercream frosting.
After dinner, the bride gave us another gift (we are spoiled
). She gifted us with an initial necklace to wear for the wedding. It’s just beautiful!
As you can see, I had an indulgent past few days. I’m more than ready to get back on track with healthy eating and exercise. Stay tuned for my part two post which includes the wedding! ![]()

Well thanks Tiff!!
I do really like the brown dresses. She made a good choice!
A&W — that.is.SO.cute. Do they both like rootbeer, too??
It’s funny cause they actually don’t. I think they just liked the theme cause it was their initials. haha. She is too silly like that!
