I was lucky enough to travel to France in high school with my French class (Yes, I was that nerd who took French while all the cool kids took Spanish
). Although it was an amazing opportunity and one in which I’ll never forget, I almost wish I could’ve visited now that I’m older. I would’ve appreciated the sights, art, and food much more today.
Saturday night I was able to travel to Paris …Paris Las Vegas that is. The Paris is one of my favorite casinos on the strip. Fun fact: I actually stayed there for my 21stbirthday.
The inside of the casino is completely transformed to give you the feel of the city.
Cobblestone streets, worn looking buildings…it’s an amazing sight. (well aside from the slot machines you can see a few feet ahead).
I’m dressed up in my Saturday finest. (Dress: Target, Shoes: Payless)
My friend and I went to dinner at the Eiffel Tower restaurant located at the top of, you guessed it, the Eiffel Tower .
The views were just breathtaking. We had an incredible view of the Bellagio fountains, one of my very favorite Vegas attractions.
(Camera was being super difficult..low lighting = no bueno)
Seeing as the menu was in French (and apparently taking it in high school didn’t help me out all that much) I was a bit unsure of ingredients. When eating out, I always try to choose something that I don’t make at home.
We started the dinner with a glass of cabernet.
(You can see the fountains in the back of this picture).
For my entrée I ordered the Baked Herbed Crêpes, Artichoke, Walnuts, Slow Roasted Tomato Coulis, Basil Pistou.
Crêpes Farcies aux Artichauts, Coulis de Tomate Confite, Pistou, Salade de Cresson
The crepes were exquisite. The filling was nutty and the watercress added a peppery flavor.
There was no bite left behind.
As my side I had the Crispy Potato Croquette and Gratinée Creamed Spinach and Mushroom.
I was really digging my side. The sauce was rich and buttery. I was using bits of bread to soak up the cheesy sauce.
It’s so much fun to get dolled up and enjoy a fancy schmancy night out. After dinner, we decided to walk off all the many calories previously consumed. I was hoping I could find extra room for another kind of crepe.
I mean, how can you turn down a warm crepe blanketed in nutella and rolled to perfection.
They looked mouthwatering, but alas, there was just no room left in my tummy. Next time.
What is your favorite Vegas casino? If you’ve never been to Vegas, what casino would you love to visit?

I was also the nerd who took french in high school and went to Paris. The crepes look divine and I love your black one shoulder dress! And thanks for the book suggestion on twitter.
I love the Palms!!! (please don’t think less of me!!) I lourve creamed spinach. Hard. Now I’m hungry.
No judgement! I love the Palms!
Yum that looks like a food experience! I love meals like that
im not much of a strip goer, but it’s fun to walk through the hotels
oh what a fun time! And I love your outfit!
Paris or Paris in Vegas…same thing ha. We were in Paris for my sisters bday a few years ago and had dinner in the Eiffel Tower, unforgettable. It sounds so fun to live in Vegas.
Girl I took French too!! I’ve never been to Paris or Vegas
I love a really good, rich coulis. Yummy
How fun! I think the Bellagio is my favorite casino because of the flowers. Some of the other ones smell too much like smoke and I hate walking through them. I am also a fan of the Cosmo & Wynn/Encore for the same reason. However, the Monte Carlo will always have a fond place in my heart after a crazy spring break week in college in which 6 of my friends and I all packed ourselves (and luggage) in to one room!
I do love the Bellagio. It is so pretty!!
Ah this looks fantastic! My boss stopped in LV during her recent cross country road trip and she said Paris was her favourite.
