Loving Leftovers

May 17, 2011

Morning!

I had a bit of a tough time getting up this morning.  I couldn’t help myself and stayed up late watching Real Housewives of New Jersey.  The drama just reels you in. Smile

Although I wish I were a morning person, I’m definitely not.  I hit snooze a couple times.  It didn’t cost me too much time, since I set my alarm a bit earlier than usual.  Snoozing is just something I can’t live without I guess. Winking smile

Breakfast

Since the weather is still a bit chilly this morning, I thought a bowl of oats would do the trick.  I topped mine with chia seeds, peanut butter, and banana.

Oatmeal always does the trick keeping me full.

Lunch

I couldn’t wait to pack up last night’s bbq tofu pizza to bring to work for lunch.  Also, a great meatless meal for the month of May.

Pizza makes the best leftovers.  Although I can eat pizza cold, I prefer it hot.

Snack

Since I never can estimate my hunger with ten hour work days, I always try to pack more food than less.

So many tasty snacks, I don’t know where to start!  An apple, cottage cheese, carrots, and leftover green bean salad (my mom made).

Such a great day of eats!  Gotta love that!

Going to finish getting ready for work.  Have a great Tuesday!

What are your favorite leftovers?  Do you prefer to eat leftover  pizza cold or hot?

I’m not a big leftover fan. With pizza, I don’t necessarily want it cold, but not totally hot either – kind of a lukewarm. Have a good one!

I haven’t watched Real Housewives of NJ yet – it is on my DVR though. I grew up about 30 minutes from where the women live and it cracks me up so much!

I love to eat my pizza cold – same with pasta too!

I also have a love for the snooze button – I cannot live without it.

Too funny. My post title yesterday was ‘leftovers anyone”? I’m a BIG leftover fan, and I like recycling them into something different! Have a great day Kristen!!

I watched The Real Housewives of NJ, too! :) But I fell asleep before it was over and then woke up really, really late and had to make my way into bed…

I like leftover pizza hot and cold. It really depends on the pizza and what I’m in the mood for…

I used to never eat leftovers at all…like…ever. Finally I decided that it was the biggest waste for food and took a step in the right direction. However, I can’t stand cold leftovers it has to be hot hot hot!

I don’t do cold pizza… I just can’t. But I do love some leftovers! If it wasn’t for them, I would eat out everyday. Salads and sandwiches get old after a while!

Your oatmeal looks delicious/fun food day. I totally agree with packing more vrs less. Pizza- while most foods I don’t care about temperature I’m going with hot pizza.

That pizza looks and sounds AMAZING!!! <3 tofu!

I always pack a TON of snacks, too. I usually leave the house with 2-3 pieces of fruit and generally some type of cut up veggies. I get it! :)
