Hi there!
My coworker and I had a pretty difficult run at lunch. Well, I had a difficult run and she stayed back with me.
I haven’t done much running since the half marathon. When I started running with her a couple weeks ago, I about died. It’s sad how after all that training leading up to running 13.2 miles, and now I can barely muster out 2. Each time it gets a bit easier. I am just going to say that today was an off day. ![]()
I brought my phone along to show you are lovely scenery.
Spotted some random house decorations on my run as well, such as this…
and this.
Alright…not all that exciting. At least the company was fabulous.
Dinner
My coworker gave me a coupon for Baja Fresh’s new burrito bowl.
Their bowls run about 7 dollars, so for 2 bucks I knew I couldn’t pass it up. I decided on the chicken bowl.
Fire-grilled chicken, jack cheese, green chili-tomatillo rice, black beans, marinated achiote onions, chili poblano slices, sweet roasted corn, and topped with 6 chiles salsa
Not bad. Not bad at all.
This bowl was HUGE and I ended up eating about half.
Their chips and salsa are one of my favorites. Aside from Chevy’s of course. ![]()
It was pretty tasty but I don’t know if I would buy the bowl again; especially at full price.
My friend is coming by to help me (yet again) put music on my iPhone for my trip. I am off until Monday! I plan to start my day with a yoga class at the gym. Looking forward to it.
Have a great evening!
What is the funniest thing you have spotted on a run (or during exercise)?
I once saw a man walking with a parrot on his shoulder. Guess it could have been weirder, perhaps if the parrot was walking. ![]()

I tried the Baja Bowl with the coupon too and I agree with you. Although it was tasty, I don’t think I would pay $7-8 for it in the future.
way to go with the run! isn’t it crazy how long you can spend training and how quickly we can lose it?!
Sorry the running hasn’t been going smoothly. That kind of stinks. I saw a man running in a suit. At first I thought my contacts were just blurry, or it was my glasses. Then I thought maybe it was some weird track suit. Nope, 3-piece suit.
It’s depressing how fast training goes away, but you’ll get it back!
I once saw a bulldog in a sidecar. That definitely put a smile on my face! I must have looked like a really happy runner.
Moose! Well, it’s not funny, I guess, but I’m from Montreal. I’m *still* surprised by northern wildlife and I’ve lived around it for 4 years!
