Seattle Here I Come

June 16, 2010

Hi guys!  I wanted to write this post to say bye!  I will be in Seattle later on this evening.  It’s kind of silly, but I am going to miss blogging.  It has become so much a part of my life over the months.

While visiting, my friend and I are going to talk about a potential trip to FNCE, (Food and Nutrition Conference and Expo) which will take place in Boston this year.  Pretty much, it is the conference of all conferences for dietitians.  We started crunching numbers and it is getting pricey.  I am hoping it will all work out.  Dietitians, are you going to FNCE?

I had all intentions of waking up at 4:30 again to get in a body pump workout (told you I’m a bit obsessed with body pump).  I woke up and layed there, then decided why am I waking up at 4:30 on my vacation.  I got back in bed and slept.  I did manage to get in a workout at my condo gym.

The gym is pretty nice and has everything you need really.

At the gym, I did a 10 minute warm up on the treadmill.  I did 2 sets of 15 reps of shoulders, biceps, triceps, quads, sit ups, and push ups.  Not my best workout, but it’s something.

I also managed to get a manicure..priorities.  I actually got a gel manicure.  It is supposed to last 6-8 weeks.

I will be sure to keep you updated.  I really like it.  I love getting manicures, but since they chip so fast, I always get a real light color, never a french.  So excited!

Here is everything packed up.

Some reading for the plane,  The Sweet Life In Paris by David Lebovitz.

I am really looking forward to reading this book!

Thanks for reading and I hope you all have a great week and weekend!  I will be back on Sunday and will make sure to share my Seattle adventures when I return!

I would have totally gone back to bed too! 4:30 is just a tad early if you ask me LOL. Hope you have a great trip. Can’t wait to hear about it.

Have a great trip!

I hope you like the gel manicure…and that yours works out better than mine did. I had one for my wedding and it ruined my underlying nails :-(

I love gels! I just hate my thin, bendy nails post-gels :) Have fun in Seattle! Your blog readers will miss you back!

Have fun!!! Can’t you just pack me in your suitcase?! haha Julie from work said Seattle was gorgeous. Can’t wait to see the re-cap. I really want to go to FNCE, but it is so pricey. I also want to go to SCAN in March I believe. There’s just too many good ones. See you when you get back!

Can’t wait to hear how it was!

I am not going to FNCE this year, unless my company sends me!!! That would be awesome. I went last year though, in Colorado, and it was a blast.

Nice nails. I’ve never done gel. I wonder how they are different from acrylic…

I did the soak off gels which are supposedly better for your nails. I would almost describe it as a really thick nail polish. They also put it over your real nails unlike acrylic where they normally add a tip. I’m really liking them so far.
