Tea For Me

May 19, 2010

Hope everyone had a good Tuesday!  I had all intentions last night of posting about the bridal shower from Sunday.  When I got home, I ate dinner and watched way too much TV.  Why does Housewives of New Jersey have to be so addicting.

The one thing I did manage to squeeze in was the “Move Before you Snooze” Challenge.  Hey it’s something, right.

The bridal shower was so nice!  As I mentioned, I decided to go with dress #2 for the shower.  I am pretty sure I will be wearing dress #1 for the wedding this Saturday.  Thanks again for all your suggestions.

The bridal shower was held at the Four Seasons at the Verandah.

We were put into a separate room that was decorated so cute!

One of the gals at the shower made the centerpieces..how pretty are they!

The menu included a selection of teas. I decided to go with the Organic Assam.

One of the most famous Indian black teas, best accompanied by milk and sugar

Since it said it was best accompanied by milk and sugar, that is just what I did.  Delish!

Along with the tea were a selection of sandwiches, pastries, and scones.

Check out these desserts.  My favorite was the roasted hazelnut cream pastry.

While enjoying our tea, we played a few bridal shower games.

I loved this idea so much! It was so much fun and the food was so delicious!

Stay tuned this week for an exciting GIVEAWAY!  I have family in town so I am going to try to get in my errands and workout early tomorrow.  Have a great day!

Fancy schmancy! The dress looks great! I pretty much only drink coffee at work. Very strange – it’s more of a habit/routine than anything. If I were at a shower, I’d definitely choose tea.

I’m a tea drinker although I love anything coffee flavored.

Cute bridal shower. I actually hated hot beverages for the longest time. I still hate tea, even iced tea, but since moving to Europe, I started drinking coffee. If not, I am looking too American. I drink like a latte, called a meia da leite (half milk). I even drink coffee when Ryan makes it now. Heck, I even went to Starbucks to get a coffee for the first time when I went back to the States.

What a nice bridal shower! Love the dress :)

I’m a tea drinker and I’m addicted to Tazo’s Zen tea which is a green tea!

The bridal shower looks so elegant! And you look so cute and happy in the dress! I think a tea is the perfect way to have a bridal shower. I remember mine was at my favorite Asian restaurant and we had bites of deliciousness all afternoon :)

I definitely prefer tea – either green or white, plain, or black with a little milk!

What a beautiful shower!! Love the table setting and menu! And the roses are fabulous!

I love Earl Grey tea – but I definitely prefer good coffee most of the time.

Love the dress choice!

And, I’d highly recommend the Sookie Stackhouse series of books- I just started book 3, and I am loving it!

Have a great weekend!

You ladies all look so gorgeous in your dresses :) My favorite kind of tea has to be sleepy time. I have loved it since i was a kid. But I also really enjoy any of the Zenas Gypsy Teas. They are so yummy!
